His evening began with a visit to the magnificent padmasana – the holy symbol to the Hindus of Indonesia and the only Balinese temple on the banks of Mother Ganga – for a beautiful puja, and was followed by participation in the world-famous Ganga Aarti ceremony, where he was presented with a traditional Radraksha sapling symbolizing commitment to the conservation, preservation and protection of the environment.
A joy to welcome @Arya_Vedakarna ji the King of Bali to Holy #MaaGanga! We shared divine moments at the Balinese Padasama, the only Balinese temple on the banks of Ganga and at #GangaAarti & I offered him a copy of my book #ComeHometoYourself & invited him to #IYF in March. pic.twitter.com/IoLJkrbXuQ
