Expanding the Vedic Education for a Divine India at Parmarth Camp
Prayagraj: Parmarth Niketan Kumbh camp hosted a dialogue organized by Mata Lalita Devi Sewashram, in association with Bhojpuri Snagam Magazine, to expand the vision of the Indian education system and to expand its overall plan of action. The group was welcomed and blessed by Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, President of Parmarth Niketan Ashram. With a focus on the confluence of wisdom and ultra-modern scientific knowledge, the group spoke about the challenges and opportunities facing the education system, and the importance of parental guidance and support in youth embracing a vedic foundation for life.
Honored guests and dignitaries included the Hon’ble Justice Shambhu Nath Srivastava, Allahabad High Court, Dr Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji, Secretary General of the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, Sadhvi Deepa Bhartiji, Hon’ble Justice Surohi, Swami Sharanandji Maharaj, Swami Yatindra Anand, Pujya Anurag Krishna Shastriji, IIT Kanpur University Professor D.P. Bhatt, Sri Kapil Mishraji, and Sridarji.
Pujya Swamiji said: “We need to focus on culture, nature, and future, for our children. In Vedic culture, one plus one equals one. The message of Oneness is in the Vedas. The Vedic mantras won’t make news headlines; the vedic mantras make ‘heart’-lines. By emphasizing the need to learn Indian culture, children grasp it and then they share it with their friends.”
Dr Sadhvi Bhagawati said: “I went to one of the best schools in the U.S. for my education. I came to India and learned of the Vedic mantras and texts, and this became my real education, one focused on values and culture. Vedic education is not about books; it is about a deeper connection to the Self.”
Justice Surohi said: “The mothers are the ones to give Indian values and culture to their children, as a foundation for greatness.”
Pujya Shastriji said: “In order to keep the tradition of the Vedas alive, we need to encourage our children to learn Sanskrit. The richness of the Vedas is the solution to all our problems can be found there.”
