Fruit Distribution – Happy Valentine’s Day
Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji and sevaks visited a newly-adopted school on Valentine’s Day to distribute fruit to the beautiful schoolchildren. Everyone got apples AND oranges but most of them didn’t realize they were getting both and would take one and then start to walk away. We had to call them back to take the other fruit!
We did a show of hands for what they want to be when they grow up. The vast majority want to be doctors, another good sized batch wants to be teachers and also lots of future policemen…. What a gift to be able to provide them with an education that will help them reach their goals. We told them all that whoever gets good enough grades to go to medical school, we will take care of all their expenses and make sure they become doctors! Amazing….from a beautiful, typical small village outside of Rishikesh, the seeds of such hope, faith and confidence are sprouting and growing.
