Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati lived the first 25 years of her life the traditional Western way. She graduated from Stanford University and embarked on a PhD program. Taking a break, she traveled to India and it completely changed her life. Sadhvi has lived in one of India’s most famous ashrams, Parmarth Niketan, for the last 17 years. She lives in seva with the revered teacher His Holiness Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, the spiritual head and president of Parmarth Niketan and chairman of the internaitonal non-profit humanitarian organization, India Heritage Research Foundation. Sadhvi spends her days engaged in service, which includes teaching meditation, counseling and coaching on life and spirituality. She also writes articles and books and gives lectures.
