Sacred Celebration of Sadhviji’s 26th Anniversary of Sannyas
Yesterday’s sacred occasion of Ganga Dussehra, the day Mother Ganga came onto Earth, also marked 26 beautiful years since Sadhviji took the sacred monastic vows of Sannyas — a moment that would forever root her life in the spiritual traditions, culture, and timeless wisdom of India.
The day began with a sacred havan at Parmarth Niketan, followed by a beautiful honoring during the sacred Ramcharitmanas Katha led by Shri Muralidharji Maharaj, in the divine presence of HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj. The celebrations concluded with sacred evening Ganga puja, yagna and Aarti on the banks of Maa Ganga.
Over these nearly 30 years since Sadhviji’s been in India and 26 years of sanyas, her journey has been one of deep devotion, service, surrender, and spiritual awakening — a beautiful unfolding of grace that has connected ancient wisdom with the hearts of people around the world. While becoming ever more deeply immersed in the timeless and universal spiritual traditions of India, Sadhviji has also helped countless millions of people across the globe discover that spirituality is not distant or reserved for a select few, but something living, accessible, and transformative for everyone – regardless of their race, religion, culture or color.
Through her life and teachings, Sadhviji continues to remind us that true spirituality is not about escaping the world, but about living with greater love, awareness, compassion, and purpose.
