Dr. Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati ji was as a keynote speaker in the inaugural session of the annual conference of American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI). In the wellness track organized for the first time in this conference, Sadhvi ji expressed her views about the relationship and their role of body, mind and soul. Sadhvi ji said that our thoughts have a very deep impact on our physical immunity. The famous cricketer Shri Sunil Gavaskar-India ji also spoke on this occasion.
Sadhviji shared, while addressing the conference, that all doctors are really heroes. In the time of Corona, doctors played an important role in keeping the country and the countrymen safe. At that time he helped everyone regardless of himself and his family. In India, doctors are considered as another form of God.
Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati ji said that especially in western countries, there is no death due to malaria, small pox, diseases caused by dirty water etc. It has the power to balance the physical system. In Indian culture, it has been told how we can remain healthy by balancing the body, heart and thoughts. She threw detailed light on the importance of Indian ancient system of medicine like Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Yoga, Meditation, Vegetarian lifestyle, maintaining a strong relationship with family and society etc. In Indian culture all the people are a major part of the society, all live in a specific social system. She said that the bigger our community, the better will be our health. People who live as nuclear (nuclear) family are more prone to loneliness and stress, so Indian way of life is more suitable for balance life.
Sadhvi ji said while addressing the doctors that you have two beautiful and priceless gifts, Teaching and Touch which you can share with your patients. Doctors have medical education, experience and expertise, but at the same time there is one more beautiful gift to give that ‘touch’ touch. Doctors have a heart with love and compassion from which very effective treatment is possible. As Indian doctors you all really have 3 invaluable gifts – (Teaching, Touch and Transformation) The teachings, the touch and the transformation that Indian culture gives us, which I have experienced very deeply 25 years ago. Keep sharing these 3 gifts with all your patients.
