Sadhviji Speaks to 900 Students at Uttaranchal University

What a joy Sadhviji had last week at Uttaranchal University where she had the beautiful opportunity to speak to a packed auditorium of 900 students about the importance of meditation and self motivation.

Sadhviji has such faith in this generation of youth. With a bit of guidance, a bit of clarity, a bit of true encouragement, based on not what they do, but who they are, she really believes they can take our planet, toward a healthy, peaceful and sustainable future. After the lecture, Sadhviji and the students had a long question and answer session, and the questions were so beautiful! Deep questions about the working of their mind and how to overcome negative thinking. What was supposed to be a one hour program stretched out more than two hours, and the students were so engaged, enthusiastic and excited, even though they went well into their lunchtime!

At the end, there was a special tree plantation ceremony with the Rudraksh tree sapling Sadhviji had brought, as per our Parmarth Niketan and WASH Alliance tradition as established so powerfully by Pujya Swamiji.  Sadhviji told the school officials not to have the gardener water the tree, but to have the children take care of it. The students all pledged that they would take care of not only this tree, but all trees!
