Sacred Service in a Year Global Challenges – Parmarth Niketan Year in Review

We are so happy to share our 2025 Year in Review – a beautiful and compelling record of some of the extraordinary service carried out over the past year across spiritual, humanitarian, cultural, and environmental spheres. This newsletter offers a window into our service initiatives which are rooted in HH Pujya Swamiji’s teaching that seva IS sadhana, and that service of the creation is the greatest way of worshipping the Creator.

From the holy banks of Mother Ganga in Rishikesh, our seva extends from daily grassroots service to large-scale national and global engagement. This includes major initiatives that reach hundreds of thousands and even millions of people.

The 2025 report shares a glimpse of innumerable programs including:

  • The Maha Kumbh Mela, serving pilgrims at the largest  gathering on the planet
  • Free medical health camps, providing for nearly 100,000 people
  • Free education, training and empowerment through schools, women’s vocational centers and community empowerment initiatives.
  • Widescale programs for environmental protection, river conservation — focused particularly on Ganga and Yamuna — as well as climate change abatement.
  • Daily as well as special programs, courses, classes and offerings for total wellness of body, mind and spirit, including yoga, meditation, spiritual philosophy, satsang, sacred Ganga Aarti and yagna ceremonies and more.

We hope you’ll peruse the report carefully, as each initiative reflects our core mission of bringing spirituality out of houses of worship, bringing yoga off the mat and meditation off the cushion — to harness the power of these practices so we may be instruments of health, healing and harmony on this planet.

We offer our heartfelt gratitude for a year guided by the visionary leadership and grace of HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji and Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji, and to the whole Parmarth family and global community whose dedication, commitment and generosity of time, heart, spirit and resources have made this seva possible.

We extend special appreciation to the committed teams of our humanitarian organisations including Global Interfaith WASH Alliance,  Divine Shakti Foundation, Ganga Action Parivar, Yamuna Action Parivar and India Heritage Research Foundation, whose sustained efforts underpin many of the initiatives reflected here.

Due to the breadth of Parmarth’s seva, it is not possible to include all activities in this review. To stay connected throughout the year, please follow us on social media and stay tuned on our websites for regular updates.
