Sadhvi Graces International Hindi Conference in New Delhi

After returning home to India from her months-long travels abroad, Pujya Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswatiji of Parmarth Niketan joined numerous distinguised lumninaries in New Delhi for the International Hindi Conference organized by Vishwa Hindi Parishad at Vigyan Bhawan to celebrate the beautiful and timeless language of Hindi. Participating in the auspicious event were the Governor of Sikkim, His Excellency Shri Laxman Acharyaji; senior leader of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the Honorable Indresh Kumarji; General Secretary and Convener Vishva Hindi Parishad, Dr. Bipin Kumar; Co-convenor Shri Deepak Thakurji and other special guests.

Sadhviji shared, “It was only by connecting with India and Hindi that I was able to connect with myself. Now I feel that I do not live in India. Rather, India and Hindi live in me. Truly, connecting with Hindi means connecting with the hearts. Our language is the best medium to express our thoughts and feelings. When I first came to India, I used to look for signs and mediums to express myself and try to understand what the other person was saying, but then I felt that in this way I would not be able to connect with anyone here and I will not be able to fully understand the feelings of others. Then I got connected to Hindi as a language and gradually got completely connected with India.

“Our culture, values and society have an important role in the development of Hindi. At present, Hindi is the language of the common people, but now Hindi has to be accepted not only as a communication language but also as the language of the heart. Hindi has its own level and culture, which has created an excellent social structure, but there is an absolute need to connect the present generation with Hindi. Although any society structures its language, Hindi has shaped the Indian society. In reality, Hindi is the voice of the hearts and reaches the hearts.”
