International Day of Tolerance – Celebrating Diversity
On this Throw Back Thursday and International Day of Tolerance, we look backat the high level event where Sadhviji spoke that washosted by the Sultanate of Oman and Network for Religious and Traditional Peacemakers, on the occasion of #InternationalDayofTolerance, titled, ““Transformative Pathways and Accelerated Actions: Realizing Sustainable Development through the Oman Declaration for United Human Values.”
This prestigious event focused on the initiative Toward United Human Values, calling for the universal adaptation of a global system of ethics that promotes mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence.
In this special event, Sadhviji joined Dr. Azza Karam, former Secretary-General for Religions for Peace International; H E Ali bin Khalfan Al Jabri, Oman’s Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information; Rabbi David Saperstein. Director Emeritus, Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism; Bhai Sahib Bhai Mohinder Singh Ahluwalia (Chairman of the Nishkam Group of Charitable Organizations), Ms. Bani Dugal (United Nations Principal Representative of the Bahá’í International Community), Catherine Orsborn, Executive Director of the Shoulder-to-Shoulder Campaign and many other leaders.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Miguel Moratinos, High Representative of United Nations Allicance of Civilizations, other distinguished United Nations officials and Hon’ble Ministers of the Government of Oman including the Foreign Minister, the Minister of Health, Minister of Information, Minister of Endowments & Religious Affairs.
