Peace With No Borders in Madrid

I just returned from Madrid, Spain where I was honored and pleased to speak at the #PeaceWithNoBorders conference, organized by the Community.

I joined over 300 interfaith and civic leaders that gathered together for the cause of and in the name of Peace.

I was especially grateful for the opportunity to participate in the Ecology and the Common Destiny panel, where I had to chance to be a part of a discussion with Special Advisor to the Secretary General of the United Nations, Professor Jeffrey D Sachs, Minister for the Ecological Transition of Spain, Teresa Ribera, Cardinal Turkson and several other great leaders about the need for consciousness-raising to change the direction of global climate policy.

I shared about our opportunity and responsibility to be, as Mahatma Gandhiji said, “the change we want to see in the world” because, every day, we have the opportunity to be a part of the solution.
