Our Children and Sanskaras

Sadhviji answers a question on giving children sanskaras and values. She starts by asking ‘What are we teaching our children?’ We often expect our children to do as we say not as we do but really the exact opposite happens. Children do as we do. She gives several examples to share this point. She shares we go on and on blaming movies, media, advertisements, social media, etc but there is very little we can do about these influences. However our relationship with our children and our example in their lives has a far greater impact and fortunately is something we can really do something about. When we start taking responsibility of our actions and our example, we begin to realize our children are actually much better than we perceive them to be. She says just be the example and live those values and your children will follow.
