International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Today on Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember pledge to never forget the atrocities which were unspeakable and yet must be spoken, let us also remember the beings of light who, even in untimely and unnecessary death, show us the path to light and everlasting life.

In this inspired discourse from a recent satsang, Sadhviji so beautifully shared that though we may not be able to understand its continuing effect on humanity – “With tears in our eyes, tears in our hearts and tears on our cheeks we remember the holocaust as a tribute to the lives of 6 million Jews and millions of others whose suffering and the suffering of their loved ones are not – CANNOT – be forgotten.”

She offered insightful guidance to ensure that we all do our part in preventing it from ever happening again. Here, while we certainly can and should curse the evil and darkness that led to the Holocaust, we must also ensure that we are lighting bright candles of light, candles of oneness, togetherness, love and understanding in our world. In fact, let us not only light candles, but let us all become and BE the light that dispels the darkness of ignorance and hatred. The light that reminds us – NEVER AGAIN.”

The dialogue that we will share is so necessary today, given the abhorrent rise in anti-Semitic attacks throughout the world. Interfaith harmony and cooperation is vital as we remember the atrocities of the Holocaust and pledge “Never Again.” Only by coming together can we create a world that is safe for all of our brothers and sisters – of every faith, of every colour, of every creed, of every nationality and of every sexual orientation.

Take the time to watch…to listen…and, to HEAR Sadhviji’s moving tribute and loving encouragement as we remember…
