Slowing the Flow
Is there any value to slowness in a world craving speed? Mahatma Gandhiji once beautifully shared, “What’s the point of going so fast if we have no direction?” And, that’s exactly what’s happening in the world. We’re moving so fast and, since we have no direction, we actually end up getting nowhere. So, you might think that the answer is to slow-down…to stop moving so fast so that we can possibly get somewhere. There is value in moving slowly, because it helps us to become aware. When we’re moving fast, we lose our focus and our ability to enjoy the depth and joy of life. And, we lose our grounding and anchoring and become mindless and unconscious – even going so far as to doing and saying things that we don’t mean to do and say. All because we’re moving too quickly.
In this important teaching, Sadhviji shares that balance is really the key. Watch and listen as she shares how to find the perfect equilibrium that will ensure that we maintain the discipline necessary to function in the world – while still slowing the flow to be sure that we have time to stay aware…and, to enjoy the depth and joy of life!
