Connecting to God through prayer & love

Why do we pray to God? Is it out of fear or to have our wishes fulfilled?
Sadhvi Bhagawati ji explains that it’s nothing wrong with asking God for anything, however, this is not the highest goal. She encourages to pray to God out of love and devotion.
