Does God forsake His devotees?

Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji explains that God never, ever pushes us away. Because in our minds, in good situations, we see and experience God, however in bad situations, we think God has forsaken us, we become under the impression that He is pushing us away. Sadhviji tells us that it is not that God has gone away from us, it is us who move away from Him.
