Guru Purnima – The Light of The Guru

On this sacred day of Guru Purnima, we celebrate the guru—the remover of darkness, the bringer of light.

But what darkness does the guru remove? The darkness of ego, of ignorance, of false identity. The guru shines the light that helps us see the truth of who we really are: whole, full, divine.

Just like the moon is always full but only visible in its fullness when perfectly aligned, the guru helps us align so we can experience our own inner completeness.

If you have a guru, today is the day to bow in deep gratitude. If you don’t, ask yourself—are you stuck in patterns you can’t break? Do you long to see your true path? The guru’s grace can illuminate it all.
