What is consciousness? And how do we become aware of it? Sadhviji says that we become aware of our consciousness by becoming aware of our awareness. By becoming mindful. Can we become fully aware…fully present in the moment. Can we take 20 minutes to eat a grape just to be fully aware of every aspect of that. That’s awareness. It’s something that we create by putting our attention on something. It’s a practice. We can train our mind to be aware.
Consciousness however, according to Sadhviji, is being aware of the awareness. It is that which pervades me, whether I’m aware or not. It exists whether we are aware of it or not. Connecting with consciousness is a way of connecting with soul. Something that always exists and just waits for us to tap into it. It is the truth of who we are.
