How to Love God

How to find love for God in your heart? In so many of the world‘s spiritual traditions loving God is one of the most important parts. But what to do if you can’t find love for God in your heart? Or if you don’t necessarily connect with a specific, lovable, aspect of God? Are we doomed to a life without spiritual connection? Do not worry! Just love anyone or anything! But love them, fully, to the very core essence of who they are. If you only love someone’s form, their body, what they say, or do, then that is lust, not love. Real love is loving someone’s soul, their spirit, their core essence. And the unchanging essence of all of us is Divinity. So, if you are really loving anyone, in the true essence of them, you are loving God! It gives us a beautiful opportunity, with our family members, loved runs, and even slowly with people we don’t even know, to try to see, connect with, and even feel love for the very soul of that being. You can even begin by loving a tree, or a loving a pet. As long as you love the core unchanging essence of that being, you are loving the Divine.
