As a parent, we understand that our child can study anywhere, but we know that the energy of a dormitory, with loud music and partying, is not conducive to focus and concentration. We guide our child to the library, where the energy is peaceful, quiet and conducive to study. Similarly, while we understand that God is with us everywhere, we are drawn to temple, where the energy is most conducive to connecting with the divine.

There is a sanctification that exists in the temple that doesn’t exist on the subway – sacred rituals and practices performed in the temple help us to access the power of the divine in a much easier way.
