Our Union with Mother Nature on Hariyali Teej
“On this special occasion of Hariyali Teej let us celebrate and commit to protect our natural greenery. May Lord Shiva and Parvati bless us with the awareness and remembrance of our union with Mother Nature.”
Today is Hariyali Teej, the day we celebrate our sacred greenery & pray to the Divine union of Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati for blessing. Across India girls pray they may get a husband like Lord Shiva and married women pray that their union may be as blessed as that of Parvati and Shivji. Teej means three, and it’s the 3rd day after the new moon. But 3 also symbolizes so much, and there is a crucial 3-some needed today: Connection, Courage and Commitment. At this time of Hariyali Teej, it’s so important to remember that the most important marriage to celebrate and remember is our own to Mother Nature. We must connect to the Divine in all — the Creator and Creation, have the courage to live true to our connection and have the commitment to truly bring about the Divine Union of Shiva and Shakti, Purusha and Prakriti within our own hearts and lives.
Hariyali Teej is also a celebration of the coming on the monsoon… watch how beautifully and auspiciously the rain begins to pour down during the video!
