Pujya Morari Bapuji Shares Pujya Swamiji’s Environmental Message

When HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji – Muniji spoke with Pujya Morari Bapuji during his recent visit to the Ashram, he shared about the crucial importance of water conservation, protection of our sacred rivers, taking Climate Action and inspiring JanShakti for JalShakti. So, it was beautiful to hear Bapuji take the message to the masses it in his ongoing Manas Haridwar Ram Katha at the Kumbh Mela!

“Pujya Swamiji shared with me recently,” Bapuji began, “that the great glacier, Gangotri, is receding. It’s already, He said, gone back over a kilometer. It’s receding so much that, maybe in the next ten years, Ganga may have migrated to China! And, if Mother Ganga doesn’t live in India, what is the meaning of life? Therefore, it’s the duty of every Indian to save water…to protect water.

Pujya Swamiji shared that this effort must start from today, and also let me know that we must release water into small ponds near the fields so that there will be enough for the crops. His words were very right…very inspiring!

The prophets have said that if the next World War happens it will be for water. Rich nations will have to collect water in the future the way they stockpile oil today. As Pujya Swamiji says, in 10 to 20 years, water will be like gold is today.

He also spoke about Corona. It’s important to clean your hands with soap and water, to wear masks and to social distance. Worry more about the nose of the country than about your nose. If Corona rises again, the country’s nose will bite. Open your heart and cover your nose. Save your nose and the country’s nose, too.”

To ensure our health and safety, and the safety of all of our beautiful Brothers and Sisters worldwide, let us follow the advice of our divine faith leaders. Let us help to heal, not just ourselves, but our sacred Mother Earth, as well!
