Sadhviji’s Divine LIVE Satsang

To begin, Sadhviji answers a question from a global family member sent in advance asking “How not to be proud of my spiritual practice or spiritual growth?”. Of course, once you begin to practice you suddenly start to feel great about the changes in your life,. You feel good, but the temptation comes when the ego starts to rise and compare your progress to others, gaging how is more spiritual compared to you. The whole point of the spiritual practice is to get beyond the need to compare and to simply know yourself and others as Divine perfection. Don’t judge yourself when it happens just bring yourself back to your center and know there is still work to be done.

Next, a beautiful seeker from the Garden asks, “How to start the journey to find our dharma?” Sadhviji wisely explains that we should become very, very quiet and listen to our internal voice. Most of us however try to find it in cues from the outside world based on our influences and culture and we develop identities around that. We are looking in the wrong place. This is why it can be so confusing. Knowledge of our own dharma will come to us from inside in small breadcrumb moments of inspiration and whatever the moment is asking of you.

And lastly the question, “How do we let go of seeking approval from the outside and how do we love ourselves fully?” Sadhviji beautifully shares that we are biologically programmed from the time of birth to do whatever we need to do to keep the attention of our parents simply to stay alive. We are wired as babies and so it’s quite natural to want approval. But the dilemma comes that once we are grown we need to develop a core sense of self, and seek our value, self-worth, and measurements of the self from inside and the true knowledge of the Self.
