STOP Backseat driving in Life

What does surrender really mean — especially when it feels terrifying rather than peaceful?
In this talk, we explore the difference between a free fall and a trust fall, and why faith is the missing piece that makes surrender possible. Surrender does not mean closing your heart, giving up on love, or abandoning hope. It means letting go of the exhausting need to control outcomes — especially in relationships — and learning to trust life’s deeper intelligence.

Through simple, relatable metaphors — the backseat driver, the unknown driver, and the mistake of trying to squeeze orange juice from a cow — this teaching gently reveals why so much of our stress comes from fighting reality instead of meeting it with clarity and wisdom. When we stop forcing life to give us what it cannot, we free ourselves to receive what is being offered — and to move consciously toward what we truly seek.

This is a reflection on love, surrender, faith, and the deep relief that comes when we finally stop micromanaging the universe and begin trusting the path.
