The World Is One Family – International Day of Families

Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, Secretary General, Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, President, Divine Shakti Foundation, delivered an incredible and heart-warming speech in Ganga Aarti yesterday. On the occasion of International Day of Families, she shared that Indian spiritual tradition teaches us that the entire world is one family.

She said that if we lived with the awareness of this truth and really applied the universal mantra of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam in our lives, then we would not do onto others that which we would not do to our own families; ensuring that we share, care and serve all of creation.

In this way, not just 15th May, but really everyday would be an opportunity to celebrate healthy, happy, peaceful and prosperous families.
