WE PRAY FOR UKRAINE

On the sacred day of Mahashivratri, as we pray to Lord Shiva to remove the darkness, the untruth, from our lives so that we may live in Truth and Divine Light, on the banks of Mother Ganga, at Parmarth Niketan, Sadhvi Bhagawatiji led us in special prayers for our sisters and brothers in Ukraine and Russia. We prayed that they may have health and safety in their bodies, their families and their communities and that they may have peace, solace, and hope in their minds and hearts. We prayed that the energy of Lord Shiva, that sacred energy that dissolves the old, the unreal, the untrue so that Truth and Reality can freely emerge, that this sacred energy may flow through the leadership of that region, removing the ego, arrogance, greed and illusion that has caused such a tragic, unnecessary, horrific situation. May the Truth of our oneness, our inseparability, our fullness, wholeness and Divinity blossom in the minds of the leaders so that peace can emerge in Ukraine, in Russia and throughout our world. We prayed in the morning during our sacred yagna ceremony and we prayed in the evening during our sacred aarti ceremony, closing our eyes in sacred prayer as we chanted mantras to bring light back to the darkness, truth back to the falsehood, peace back to the pieces….. From the holy banks of Mother Ganga, our hearts, our love, our thoughts and our prayers are with our families in Ukraine and Russia and we pray that their leaders may realize the futility of their actions.
