How Do I Choose When There are No Right Answers?
In the Bhagavad Gita, Arjun tells Lord Krishna that he can’t take up arms against his family because he will kill them – and, he just can’t bring himself to do that. There are, at that moment, no right answers. Take up arms and kill your family? Or, throw down those armaments and reject God’s will, refusing to restore dharma, allowing adharma to win. How can you possibly choose between two such potentially-devastating and life-changing actions?
In this important teaching, Sadhviji shares with us that, when Arjun described his dilemma, Lord Krishna reminded him that he wasn’t the one with the power to take life – that power lies squarely in God’s hands. It’s also when Krishna said, “Just do your duty…I will take care of the rest.” There’s a divine plan at work. By allowing it to simply unfold, the “right” answer will be revealed.
