Tonight’s first question comes from a family member here in India who wants to know if the ultimate reality is with form or formlessness, and what is the destination of our soul? Next, a family member in the Divine Garden asks what is the purpose of our life? Also, how do we deal with the loss of our parents and while still satisfying that purpose? Sadhviji responds that every spiritual tradition is based on the belief that the purpose of our life is simply to free ourselves of our false self. To remove the ignorance that keeps us from realizing that we are Divine. As for the loss of our parents, Sadhviji reminds us that we’re all going to die, but it’s the one thing that none of us seem to be able to accept. Which just sets us up for misery. And the death of a parent is actually in alignment with the natural order of how things are supposed to be. Parents are “supposed” to go first…and, if they don’t, it means that you do. And, preventing our parents from experiencing the loss of their child is very much in our alignment with our purpose in life.

Finally, another member in the Garden wonders which approach we should take: Lord Ram accepting 14 years in exile without retribution, or Krishna telling the Pandavas to kill their own family. In response, Sadhviji shares that it’s all about context. In both instances, it’s a matter of dharma.
