Disability and Poverty Are Not Due to Bad Karma

Being handicapped or a beggar is not a sin. It is not in any way part of the universe’s way of rewards and punishments. The universe actually has no such thing as rewards and punishments. There are two forces in the universe: karma and unfolding into our infinite potential. Karma is whatever seeds you plant, that is what you reap. So if you plant apple seeds then you will get an apple tree, the universe doesn’t deem the apple tree as good or bad, we do. Additionally, whatever the Universe puts in front of us is all part of the divine design, it is all supposed to lead us to unfold into our infinite potential. We may not understand it or we may not see the bigger picture, but any situation or difficulty is not a punishment for sin but rather it is there for us because that is exactly what we need to unfold and grow.
