Eating as mindfully and harmlessly as possible (Part 2)
Sadhviji discusses how to eat as mindfully and harmlessly as possible. She explains that it would be ideal if we could live on air or live life completely non-violently, but unfortunately this is not reality. She points out that eating a cucumber may harm the cucumber, but eating a cow is not only violent to the cow, but to the water, air, and the whole planet. Sadhviji adds that, according to the U.N. Report on Climate Change, the meat industry is the single largest contributor to climate change. We must eat mindfully, taking only what we need. This helps us to walk the least violent path.
