Ganga Dusshera

What a beautiful and special day of Ganga Dusshera, the day on which the sacred Mother Ganga came onto Earth. She came, as the beautiful story goes, to bring liberation to the souls of the sons of King Sagar. But she stayed! She stayed for thousands and thousands of years to bring life, liberation, divine connection and such joy, bliss, and peace to all those who are blessed enough to come to her waters. . 23 years ago I came to Her banks with a backpack and, in a moment, She transformed my life. I became truly Hers. She gave me a new life, a new birth, a new vision, a new connection to my Self and the Divine. I feel so overjoyed with love and gratitude to be here, and especially to be here on this sacred day. . . It is, however, up to us now to do whatever we can to keep her waters flowing clean for all our sisters and brothers, more than 500 million of them, who depend upon these waters not only for liberation and divine connection but for the very water they need to live.
