Today is Narasimha Jayanti, a special celebration of the power of devotion and the power of Divine Intervention! Sadhviji shares the inspiring story of Prahlad, a young boy whose devotion to Lord Vishnu was tested by his father, King Hiranyakashipu, a powerful king driven by ego, pride and arrogance. Hiranyakashipu’s obsession with himself led him to demand that all worship him. Worship of God was prohibited. His own son Prahlad’s unwavering faith in Lord Vishnu was met with cruelty and attempts on his life. Prahlad’s miraculous rescue by Narasimha Bhagwan, the manifestation of Lord Vishnu, in the half-man, half-lion form is a powerful example of divine intervention!
