Happy Ram Navami!

Happy Ram Navami! This is the sacred day when we celebrate that Bhagawan Rama came onto Earth! But it’s not only a day to celebrate that which happened in the past. It is a day to honor the very presence of Rama in our lives, and to channel the power of devotion to the divine, as well as to learn the beautiful and powerful lessons that Bhagawan Rama’s life and message teach us.

Bhagawan Rama is the embodiment of dharma, of honesty, of integrity and of goodness. So from His life we learn all of that. AND we learn how to face and accept the challenges and twists and turns our lives give us. Even as the Divine incarnate, faced so many profound challenges and adversities in life, including being sent off into the forest in exile for 14 years on the very day He was supposed to be coronated as King! And through no “fault” of his own, but through the woven threads of a tapesty of karma…. He embraced them with grace and unwavering commitment to Dharma. On this auspicious day of Ram Navami, let us reflect on the invaluable teachings of Lord Rama and the profound significance of his birth.

His life serves as a shining example of how we must approach our own challenges and struggles, with the courage and strength to face them head-on, rather than trying to avoid or escape them.

On this holy day, let us not just celebrate Lord Rama’s birth, but also give birth to Him in our hearts. Let us cultivate His values of truth, love, integrity, and strive to create Ram Rajya, a world governed by righteousness and Dharma.
