Recognise and Love the Flower of You
Have you ever wished you looked like someone else? That you were, maybe, taller, thinner, that your complexion was more exotic or more fair? Have you ever felt jealous of someone else’s looks or life circumstances? Of course you have! We all have! Those feelings are so natural, and yet lead to such suffering in our own mind and heart. We look at others, and then we look at ourselves, and we feel like we are lacking in some way. Mother Nature comes to the rescue again with such a beautiful teaching with her flowers. . . I was recently in this gorgeous garden filled with so many different types of flowers, and even on one huge bush, the colors of the flowers changed as you walked from one end to the other. Yet at all points, it was so exquisitely beautiful. It was such a perfect reminder that just as the garden is filled with different colors of flowers, different sizes, and shapes and they are all so beautiful and such essential aspects to the garden. In the same way, so we are all, with our own sizes, shapes, colors and fragrances, sacred flowers in the holy garden of this Universe.
Try to see yourself as that essential and holy flower, rather than wishing you could look or be like another.
