Sadhviji’s Divine LIVE Satsang

In tonight’s Divine LIVE Satsang from the Divine Garden at Parmarth Niketan, Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati Ji responds to questions from our global family with answers that take us deeper into our spiritual path.

The first question comes from a global family member living abroad who, after reading Sadhviji’s best-selling memoir,, “Hollywood to the Himalayas”, wants to know what makes a deep, honest, fearless and Dharmic enquiry – something that Sadhviji references in her book. She also wants to know what is dharma? And, how can she witness her anger before it takes over? Watch and listen to Sadhviji’s inspiring responses!

Next, a family member in the Divine Garden asks about Sadhviji’s reference in her book to the differences between Hinduism and other religions, and whether she thinks that we should try to explain Hinduism to those that don’t understand it, and how we would do that. Sadhviji answers by saying that, first, know that it’s okay to worship the divine in any way that you want to – but be sure to respect other’s ways, as well. We judge other beliefs because we’re not comfortable with our own – so we don’t respect other’s beliefs. So get comfortable with your own faith and beliefs – it makes accepting other’s beliefs so much easier!

Finally, what is the difference between religion and spirituality, and what is the value of visiting spiritual sites? Spirituality is the way that we connect to the Divine; religion is something that has been co-opted by power games and money games and dogma. Spiritual sites do have a certain energy that is palpable, but they also create a mindset that is geared towards and focused on the Spirit – which is a powerful force that helps us to make life a pilgrimage, even when the sites are far away!

To close, Sadhviji leads a beautiful meditation focused on mindfulness!
