Sadhviji’s Divine LIVE Satsang
In tonight’s Divine LIVE Satsang from the Divine Garden at Parmarth Niketan, Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati Ji responds to questions from our global family with answers that take us deeper into our spiritual path.
With tonight’s first question, Sadhviji answers a question from a global family member living abroad who wonders why humans are attracted by Maya – illusion – and not Devotion, to which she replies that people ARE attracted by Devotion…in fact, we love Devotion. It’s just that Maya is glittery and shiny and distracting…and, sometimes it blinds us and traps us in its veil. But, when we’re mindful and in the love of devotion, we can break through it.
Next, a family member in the Divine Garden asks if you can be Shadi AND sadhu, in-between the Householder and the Vanprasth and Sannyas ashramas. “Absolutely!” declares Sadhivji. You can be married and a parent and the bread-winner and still give your heart and mind and soul to the Divine. Remember, many of our sages and Rishis were householders!
Then, another member in the Garden wants to know how we can keep the benefits of peace and joy that we feel at Parmarth when we return home to our daily lives. First make sure that the peace and joy that you are experiencing are deeply-felt and strongly-held. And you do that by allowing this place to truly change you! The second piece, when you go back to traffic jams, is to develop your choosing skills. Do you allow the traffic jam to affect you? Or, do you just say, “Here I am!” and use the time to listen to a good book. The choice is yours!
Finally, how do I advise my students what is the best way to succeed – hard-work or connections? Watch and listen to Sadhviji’s response.
