Satsang: Am I Being Used? Is Self-Love Selfish?

In a beautiful LIVE Satsang from the Sacred Garden at Parmarth Niketan, Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawatiiji leads an inspiring session with answers to questions from our global family that help us all to go deeper on our spiritual path.

Tonight’s first question comes from a global family member living abroad who feels hurt because he does so much for his family but gets so little, if anything, in return. He just gives and gives and gives – and doesn’t even get thanked! Sadhviji shares that, in instances like this, is to realise that God and karma have put you in this situation, and whatever lessons you need to learn must be done in this environment.

Next, a family member in the Sacred Garden asks about self-love, thinking that giving importance to yourself and feelings may be neglecting the feelings of the people around you. In response, Sadhviji says that, when it comes to major life decisions, we should never make choices just to please someone else. She goes on to say that self-love is not selfish, and to neglect the self is to neglect the reason that you are here.
