Searching for the Self
The holidays are a joyous occasion when we join with family and friends in celebration. We come together to share meals, time and love with each other, and even — in many cases — to share prayers and spiritual observances together. We look back at the past year and look forward to the year to come. But for some of us, we find ourselves alone, whether by choice or not, at this very special time of the year, and it can feel very lonely and isolating. Loneliness is painful all the time but the holidays make it so much worse and we feel the ache much more deeply and profoundly.
In this beautiful video from the Divine Satsang, Sadhviji empathetically and beautifully explains that being alone doesn’t have to be negative. In fact, it can actually be a highly-rewarding choice that affords us the opportunity to get in-touch with our true Self, someone we too frequently overlook! Through a shift in our mindset we can dive deep and realize that we are truly never alone.
