Sleep and Samadhi

Sadhvi Bhagwatiji speaks of the difference between sleep and samadhi. She explains that although they may seem similar because both are peaceful, sleep is inactive, whereas in samadhi we are aware, mindful and free from stress. She details examples to show that sleep does not permeate or change who we are, whereas from samadhi, how we live changes. Samadhi has all the benefits of deep sleep, but all whilst awake, in a way that something deep within us is transformed. She encourages us to follow the light of samadhi. Once we find it, each time will be quicker than before.
