Technology Is Not Your Loved One

Technology is a great gift, but it is not our friend, loved one or family member! I am fully in favor of using technology in all the various ways it can help make our life more efficient, more effective, more advanced, and even for all of the ways it can be used to connect us across cities, countries and continents. However, too many people are now turning to technology for that which technology can not do! It cannot cure loneliness! It cannot take the place of a friend or loved one! Posting on social media or seeing other peoples posts on social media does not substitute for real human connection. There is a deep and powerful, energetic exchange in the presence of friends and loved ones which does not happen through social media or other technology.

So remember, you would not eat your phone when you’re hungry. You would not drink it when you are thirsty. In the same way stop trying to use it for the love and connection you crave. For that, you must actually reach out and touch someone!
