Sadhvi Bhagawatiji talks about the connection between water, sanitation, hygiene & peace. She reminds us that Parmarth literally means “dedicated to the welfare of all,” which is really Pujya Swamiji’s mission and His message. She also explains that the lack of clean water is one of the most serious issues in the world today. Every year more people suffer and die from lack of clean water, than from all forms of violence combined, including terrorism, murder and assault. If we ignore this crucial issue, that in itself, she shares, can be seen as a form of violence. Therefore, by doing the special water blessing ceremony, its just one of the many ways, we encourage and inspire people to commit themselves to pledge and work to provide access to safe and sufficient water, sanitation & hygiene, so that no longer do children and families have to suffer from lack of such a fundamental and basic necessity.
