Why is Prasad offered in Temples?

As we walk out of temple or from so many religious gatherings we get a handful of something really sweet or sweet and greasy…and always yummy. It’s called prasad. A divine, holy gift, a blessing from God. But, Prasad is not only sweet foods. It’s so much more.
