Sadhviji’s Divine LIVE Satsang || Navratri Night 1
In tonight’s Divine LIVE Satsang from the Sacred Garden at Parmarth Niketan on the first night of Navratri, Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji responds to questions from our global family with answers that take us deeper into our spiritual path.
Sadhviji begins Satsang by offering beautiful insights into the nature of Divine Shakti, whom we celebrate during the annual Navratri celebrations. She shares that, “quite literally, without Shakti, the work of Brahma and Vishnu and Shiva could not work. So, this is a time – whether you are male or female – of honouring the divine feminine energy within you and those around you. Really tapping into the creative energy that makes things happen…the energy of your blossoming and the creation of YOU!”
Sadhviji also shares about Shailputri, whom today is dedicated to, who is the daughter of the Himalayas. Worshipping her leads to a very powerful connection, because she represents the root chakra – the beginning of the kundalini, or spiritual, energy. Shailputri battles shumbha – the I-ness within us. The Ego!
Tonight’s first question comes from a family member in the Sacred Garden who wants to know how we let-go of the issues or challenges or aspects or angers or hurts that just won’t go away. Sadhviji reminds us that, in order to let-go, we have to first forgive. Whether it’s ourselves, or the other person. And, she shares that this is so important because – as long as we don’t let go, we have a crutch to prevent ourselves from blossoming into all that we can be.
Next, Sadhviji takes a question from another family member who asks how she can tell her 4 year-old about God so that he can pray to him to get well. To which Sadhviji responds that, first of all, we don’t want to make God this big, unrelatable, wish-fulfilling entity. So, when we share with a 4 year-old, we can say, “Who do you think wakes you up in the morning?” Or, “Who do you think makes the sun rise?” What you don’t want to do, though, is make the child think that God is Santa Clause or a vending machine that dispenses favours and gifts, because that leads to nothing but disappointment.
Finally, another member in the Garden asks what the purpose of struggle is – is it just a construct. Watch and listen as Sadhviji explains.
