Honoring the Divine Feminine this Durgashtami
Happy Durga Asthami from the holy banks of Mother Ganga! Durga Ashtami or Durga Puja is a sacred celebration of the Divine Feminine, a time to honor the strength, compassion, and grace that Goddess Durga embodies. She represents the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and purity over chaos. On this auspicious day, which coincides with International Day of the Girl Child we reflect on how the power of the Divine Feminine is not just in the Goddess but also in the women and girls in our lives—our mothers, daughters, sisters, and wives. They, too, are embodiments of this divine energy, as is Mother Earth and all of Mother Nature.
Join us for a special Navratri wisdom talk, beginning with a powerful meditation on the Mother Goddess, as we connect to the deeper meaning of Durga Puja, awakening the Divine Feminine within us and around us.
And today, we also celebrate the ninth day of Navratri, dedicated to Goddess Siddhidatri. While Ashtami and Navami typically fall on two consecutive days, this year, due to the moon cycles, they both occur today, with different tithis or times. So it is extra auspicious and powerful!
During this sacred time of Navratri, I have been sharing a very special nine-day series on the 9 divine forms of the Mother Goddess, as well as the 9 forms of ego which – through the grace of the Devi – we can be free of to go deeper on our spiritual path. Catch any videos you missed at / sadhviji and dive deeply into the fullness of the power of the Mother Goddess moon cycles, they both occur today, with different tithis or times. So it is extra auspicious and powerful!
