On the fifth day of Diwali, we celebrated the auspicious occasion of Bhai Dooj. This tradition honors the sacred and beautiful brother and sister relationship. In it, sisters apply a tilak on their brother's forehead honoring his presence in their lives and wishing for his long and healthy life. On the auspicious occasion of Bhai Dooj during a special five day Diwali celebrations, as the weather begins to turn colder in Rishikesh, beautiful, soft and fluffy blankets were distributed by Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji - Muniji and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, devotees and sevaks from India and abroad to all of our young Rishikumars as gifts to help keep them warm during the upcoming winter season.
